About the repository
Film data, brought together.
The Film Industry Data Repository (FIDA) is a CresCine data infrastructure for studying European film across production, circulation and consumption.
01 / Purpose
Why FIDA exists
Film information is spread across services, countries and release windows. FIDA connects public, open and licensed industry data in one analytical environment, with particular attention to small and mid-sized European markets.
The public dashboards and aggregated datasets support comparative work by film professionals, agencies, policymakers and researchers. Access to the dashboards is free.
02 / Data
Sources & responsible use
FIDA integrates information from TMDB, Wikidata, the World Bank, Lumiere Pro, Cinando, the European Audiovisual Observatory, International Showtimes, UsherU, media-press.tv and CresCine festival datasets.
Coverage differs between tools and sources. The individual tool pages link to associated datasets and note key limitations. For derivative analytical use, credit CresCine and FIDA and cite the FIDA data paper.
